Sony Vaio SZ370 vs. HP compaq 6715b, laptop PC review

Hello again to all readers!

I have today for you an interesting "versus" review of 2 beautiful notebook PC's: The Sony Vaio SZ370PC and the HP Compaq 6715b; both of these, are high-profile laptop computers, pretty good machines for power demanding users and/or computer geeks (just like me! ; ) )

Well, starting in the matter, the VAIO SZ370PC, is a compact size laptop, with a 13.3'' WXGA display, it features several of the newest and more powerful components available at the moment, including Intel Centrino, 2 Ghz. Core 2 Duo processor, with a large amount of 2 GB in RAM memory, packed full of innovative and cool features, like integrated Wi-fi and Bluetooth connectivity, multiple card slots, super-thin XBRITE LCD panel, and revolutionary hybrid graphics technology, that brings even better performance with extended battery life.

Also comes with plenty of storage with a great 120 GB hard drive, and Dual Layer DVD RW burner.
All this features, combined with a beautiful, lightweight and sleek design, makes this machine one superb luxurious, mobility computer. Look at this other snapshot below.

At the other side, we have the HP Compaq 6715b, other enviable model, powered by an AMD Turion 64 X2 TL-60, mobile and dual core processor clocked at 2 Ghz. and, as the last one, packed with powerful features: multiple card slots, integrated Wi-fi and Bluetooth, and 1 GB of RAM memory, complemented with a huge storage space, with its 160 GB hard disk drive, and also, Dual Layer DVD-RW burner .
The design is some more classical, with the particular style of HP, the screen is a WSXGA+ with wide viewing angle and great resolution, with up to 1680 x 1050 pixels, and integrated ATI graphics adapter of 512 MB of shared memory, great for games and intensive graphic applications.
Its size is 15.4'', a little bigger than the Sony's model, but haves its particular advantages for some needs.

Ok, you could be unsure of which of these 2 could be the best for you needs or expectations, I will tell you now the major advantages of each one of them, compared against the other:

VAIO SZ370:
  1. Luxurious and sleek design.
  2. Smaller, slimmer and lightweight.
  3. Intel based processor (for those who prefer this brand).
  4. More included RAM (2 GB).
  5. Hybrid Graphics System.
HP Compaq 671b
  1. AMD Turion 64 processor (for those who prefer AMD).
  2. More included storage (160 GB HD).
  3. More expandable RAM (maximum of 4 GB).
  4. Higher display resolution (up to 1680 x 1050 px).
  5. More powerful Graphics adapter (ATI X1250, up to 512 MB of shared memory).
  6. Lower Price.
If you want a powerful and very portable PC, the Vaio could be the best choice, but if you want more power for graphic applications and more expand capabilities, you could prefer the HP's option.
